Tesla Revenue from China

Tesla has experienced a sharp increase in its net sales globally. Its two largest markets are the United States and China. In fiscal 2022, the company experienced significant increase in its net revenue from both the countries as well as other regions. Its revenue from China increased to $18.15 billion in 2022 compared to $13.84 billion in the prior year. The total net revenue of Tesla reached $81.5 billion in 2022.

2021: Tesla’s net revenues from China more than doubled in 2021 compared to the previous year. The company generated $13,844 million in net revenues in 2021 compared to $6,662 million in 2020 from the Chinese market.  The company experienced 71% growth in its total net revenues in 2021 compared to 2020. Its net income also grew significantly in 2021 compared to 2020.

In 2020, Tesla generated net $6.7 billion in net revenues from the Chinese market compared to $2.979 billion in 2019.

China is the second largest market of Tesla motors after United States. In 2019, the company generated $2.98 billion in net revenue from the China market compared to $1.8 billion in 2018, yoy growth of around 69%.  

In FY 2018, Tesla’s revenue from China declined to $1.8 Billion from $2 Billion in 2017.
