Adidas accepts the critical role of its employees in its success. The brand has focused on gender equality and diversity which it considers crucial elements of its strategy. In terms of gender equality, the brand has maintained a nearly equal share of both genders in the composition of its workforce.  Male and females both represent 50% of the entire workforce of Adidas. The share of women in management roles has increased over ,time. In 2015, the share of females in management roles was 29% which rose to 30% in 2016 and then to 31% in 2017. The average age of employees working at Adidas is 30 years. Employees’ average length of service at Adidas is 4 years in 2017,  year lower than previous year. In the last 15 years, the number of employees at Adidas has grown close 4 times.  The 3% decrease in their number in 2017 from 2016 was due to divestiture of Taylor Made and CCM Hockey businesses.
