Walmart’s Revenue from its United States operations in 2018 was $380.6 Billions whereas that from international operations was $119.8 Billions. Total revenue for 2018 reached $500.34 Billions.

About Walmart:

Walmart, the US based retail giant was incorporated in Delaware in 1969. However, Sam Walton had founded the business long back in 1945 only. First international initiative of Walmart began in 1991 when the company entered the Mexican market through a joint venture. Now, Walmart is a global retail business. Its business is divided into three reportable segments – Walmart U.S., Walmart International and Sam’s Club. The largest business segment is Walmart U.S. which operates in all the 50 states of United States. Walmart International has operations outside US in 27 countries. Sam’s Club is a membership only warehouse club that has operations in 44 US states. Walmart U.S. operates super-centers in 49 states, discount stores in 41 states and other small formats including neighbourhood markets in 36 states. Total number of Walmart employees was 2.3 million in 2018 with 1.5 million in US and 0.8 million outside US. Number of  Walmart retail units in 2018 reached 11,718 with 5,358 in United States and 6,360 located internationally. The company operates its retail and wholesale units as well as commerce websites in U.S., Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
