The American Airlines Group is a leading US based airlines company. Since the pandemic, the airlines company has experienced solid improvement in its performance. Its total net revenue in 2022 remained $48,971 million, which was the highest in its history.

The company employed 129,700 people at the end of 2022 compared to 123,400 at the end of the previous fiscal. In 2022, American Airlines carried total approximately 199 million passengers compared to 215 million in 2019 (pre-pandemic period).

It shows the company’s performance is returning to the pre-pandemic level. AAG’s total net income was $202 million in 2022, which was still much lower than its net income in 2019, but still better than 2021 when the company incurred net losses.

Inc., PSA Airlines, Inc. and Piedmont Airlines, Inc., which together operate under the brand name American Eagle. At the end of 2021, AAG had 1,432 aircraft in its fleet. Its total net revenues for 2021 reached $29.9 billion compared to $17.34 billion in 2020.
