After successful collaborations with fragment design, UNDEFEATED, and Kasina, Converse marked the return of the iconic Converse Weapon and low-cut Weapon Ox, just in time for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.

Originally introduced in 1986 and favored by stars in the late ’80s and early ’90s, the Weapon made a comeback in its original material composition and form. Converse is reintroducing these classic silhouettes to the next generation, featuring leather uppers, Star Chevron underlays, egret cup soles and outsoles, and the signature Y-bar of the Weapon. Both models, the Weapon and Weapon Ox, maintain the authenticity of their original designs.

Originally re-crafted in 2020 as part of Converse’s CX line with an updated CX foam midsole, the Weapon also underwent reinterpretation by Rick Owens as the TURBOWPN in 2021.

Leading the resurgence of the Converse Weapon is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the All-NBA first team point guard and two-time All-Star. He takes center stage in a campaign inspired by the iconic 1986 “Choose Your Weapon” ads, carrying on the legacy from the stars of the ’80s and ushering in the next chapter of this storied silhouette.

The Weapon is available in its original colorways of black and natural ivory, along with vintage white, ash stone, and egret. The Weapon Ox comes in white and black, as well as vintage white and vintage cargo. Both silhouettes released on February 8 on converse.com and at selected retailers.
