In 2022, Adidas produced 482 million units of apparel; same as the previous year. The Germany based brand is a leading manufacturer of sports shoes and apparel. Its total net sales in 2022 reached 22.5 billion Euros. Adidas sells three types of products including sports shoes, apparel and hardware. Apparel is the second largest product category based on net sales. Adidas has outsourced nearly all its production to external suppliers. In 2022, Cambodia accounted for 22% of the company’s production of apparel followed by China and Vietnam at 17% each.

The company sourced 96% of its footwear from its suppliers based in Asia in 2021 and 91% of the total apparel volume. Cambodia was its largest apparel producing company in 2021, which manufactured 21% of Adidas apparel in 2021, followed by China 20% and Vietnam 15%. Apparel production at Adidas increased in 2021 compared to 2020 while footwear production decreased. The company manufactured 482 million units of apparel in 2021 compared to 465 million units in 2020.
