In 2017, the brand sold more than 6.3 Billion cans and its turnover reached 6.282 Billion Euros. Red Bull saw its sales booming in 2017 in five major markets including Turkey, India, Netherlands, Northern Europe and United Kingdom. This has led to better financial figures including operating profit and revenues for Red Bull in 2017.  Moreover, because of its excellent sales, the brand has emerged as  a tough competitor for several brands. Its energy drinks also compete with Red Bull. Pepsi’s Net revenue in 2017 was 63.5 Billion Dollars and Gross Profit 28.8 Billion dollars. Apart from flavoured soda drinks, the brand also competes with Dr Pepper Snapple across the energy drinks and juice category.

Coca Cola:

Coca Cola is one of the leading soda beverages company of the world with a  very large product portfolio made up of more than 500 sparkling and still brands. The brightest stars in its portfolio are the 21 Billion dollars each of which generates 1 billion USD or more in revenue. Apart from soda beverages in various flavours, the brand also sells energy drinks, bottled water, juices and low calorie soda drinks. the brand is present in more than 200 countries and is also known for great marketing capabilities apart from high level of popularity. Coca Cola is also a major competitor of Red Bull with competition going on between the two brands across energy drinks segment.

Nestle:

Nestle is also  competitor of Red Bull with its large product portfolio of health friendly products including drinks.

Monster Energy Drinks:

Monster is also a major competitor of Red Bull with its portfolio of energy drinks. the brand sells across 128 countries. Its gross sells in 2016 reached 3.5 Billion dollars rising from 3.1 Billion dollars in 2015. Monster has several of its energy drinks products competing with Red Bull across the U.S. and other markets. Some  of the leading energy drinks sold by Monster beverages include NOS, Monster Energy, Burn and Full Throttle.

Dr Pepper Snapple:

Pepper Snapple has a large product portfolio of more than 50 refreshing brands. These brands include carbonated soft drinks, juices, teas, mixers, waters and other beverages. Pepper Snapple is a major competitor of Pepsico, Coca Cola & Red Bull in the U.S. market. Its 2017 revenue was 6.4 billion dollars of which 90% was earned from the U.S. market. Dr Pepper Snapple has made a series of strategic acquisitions over the last three decades to grow its business and customer base. Despite its limited product portfolio as compared to the two major players in the soda industry, the brand has continued to expand and grow. 2016 was a good year financially for Pepper Snapple. Its Venom energy drink competes with Red Bull.
