2022: In fiscal 2022, Nike enjoyed revenue growth across all product categories compared to the prior year. The largest product category of Nike based on net sales globally is footwear. The company generated $29,143 million in 2022 from footwear and $13,567 million from apparel. Equipment sales generated $1,624 million for Nike in 2022. The company had total annual net sales worth $46,710 million in 2022.

2021 v 2020:

Footwear is the largest category of products sold by Nike followed by apparel. In 2021, the company generated $28,021 million from the sales of footwear compared to $23,305 million in 2020. Nike generated $12,865 from the sales of apparel in 2021 compared to $10,953 million in 2020. 

Nike’s revenue from equipment sales were $1, 382 million in 2021 compared to $1,280 million in 2020.

Converse sales generated $2,205 million in net revenues in 2021 compared to $1,846 million in 2020.

2019 v 2018

Footwear is the largest category of products made and sold by Nike. The company generated $24.2 billion in revenue from the sales of footwear in fiscal 2019 compared to $22.3 billion in fiscal 2018 (yoy growth of 9%).

Apparel is the second largest category of Nike products based upon revenue. In fiscal 2019, the company generated $11.6 billion in revenue from sales of apparel compared to $10.7 billion in fiscal 2018 (yoy growth of 8%).

Nike generated $1,404 million from sales of equipment products in fiscal 2019. Revenue from equipment was same as last year except for a rise of $8 million.

Other revenue of Nike (mainly Converse brand) was $1,941 million in fiscal 2019 compared to $2,000 million in previous fiscal.

2018 v 2017

Nike Revenue from the footwear cateory was $22.3 billion compared to $21.1 billion in 2017. Footwear is the largest product category of Nike based upon net revenue.

Nike Revenue from apparel category was $10.7 billion in 2018 compared to $9.7 billion in 2017.

Nike revenue from equipment was $1.4 billion in 2018 compared to $1.43 billion in 2017.

Other revenue of Nike (mainly Converse) was $2 billion in 2018 compared to $2.2 billion in 2017.

Nike Product categories include footwear, apparel and equipment. Footwear is the largest category of products by Nike. The second largest is apparel. Other revenues include sales by converse.

Nike has outsourced most of its production to external suppliers. 124 footwear factories located in 13 countries produced Nike footwear in 2018. None accounted for more than 10% of entire production. Largest factory supplied 9% of Nike Footwear. 328 apparel factories located in 37 countries supplied Nike retail stores in 2018. None accounted for more than 15% of production.
