From 2010 to 2016, the sales of Hyundai cars has increased by 1.2 million. In 2016, it sold 4.9 million vehicles which was around 1 million higher than previous year when the brand sold 4.8 million vehicles. In 2010, it had sold 3.7 million vehicles. Asia and North America remained the largest markets for Hyundai where each accounted for 38.3% and 18.6% of the entire unit sales respectively.
